I am excited to be taking part in the Story Book summer over at Rainy Day Mum. We have been big fans of Barefoot Books since discovering their fun YouTube channel filled with song versions of their great books. For Skyler's birthday last month I bought him some of our favorites.

This version of A Hole in the Bottom of the Sea was a fun way to tie in an activity with his new water table that was another birthday gift.

I am so excited to say that Minne-Mama can be found at Fun at Home with Kids today! I gain a ton of inspiration from the crafts and activities on this amazing blog, and was psyched when I was asked to write a guest post!! Seriously, from our two-tone bean sensory bin, the fun sticky hearts we made for our Valentine bath, and buying liquid water colors which have been a part of many recent crafts, I often mention how Asia's posts at Fun at Home with Kids were a spark for our own creations.  

Skyler and I enjoy a lot of the same things as that sweet clan, including bright colors and contact paper, two aspects of this beautiful craft that baby boy made. On Shape Sorting and Guest Posting

Exciting news for Minne-Mama - today we can be found at Mess for Less! Mess for Less is one of my favorite kid blogs, and when Vicky contacted me about doing a guest post it made my day. Her blog is filled with creative and budget friendly crafts and activities for the preschool level and up. Even though many of the activities are geared for children older than Skyler, you better believe I am saving them all on Pinterest for later!

At Mess for Less is a shape sorting activity that Skyler has really enjoyed playing with lately. This skill building activity uses several of the same materials from our color sorting post, but instead of an egg carton we used two very different methods for Skyler to learn his shapes!
