Skyler and I had a lot of fun with Easter crafts and activities the past several weeks. From pom-poms to painting, and thanks to the perfectly colored plastic eggs, a lot of fun color themed play! Here is a roundup of all the Easter themed fun we had at Minne-Mama!

Peek-a-boo Eggs Sensory Bin

Easter Egg Hunt Contact Paper Play

Frozen Watercolor Easter Egg Paints

Easter Basket Color Match

I am sure this is not the last of plastic Easter egg play for us this year! There are so many fun things to be done with those eggs! We have also enjoyed using them with play dough and "washing" them in the sink with a ton of bubbles and a dish scrubber :)

Thank you for stopping by!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Whether you celebrate the day, or if you just enjoy the various green, shamrock, and rainbow crafts that accompany the day, I hope it is a good one! And if you do not celebrate St. Patrick's Day at all, happy Monday! Here is a roundup of our St. Patrick's Day crafts and activities, and some of my favorites from other blogs. Check them out if you are looking for a last minute idea for today or some ideas to pin for next year!

And some St. Patricks Day crafts and activities from many other great blogs (all can be found on my St. Patrick's Day Pinterest board as well)!

1. I love this rainbow spaghetti from Fun at Home with Kids! (and you have to check out her series of five posts from last year, helping a leprechaun find his gold - this is the final post which has links to the first four posts - I cannot wait to try these when Skyler is older! So so cool!!)

2. These rainbow sun catchers from Fireflies and Mud Pies are so beautiful!

3. This super stretchy rainbow treasure slime from Growing a Jeweled Rose looks like a blast!

4. I have seen bell pepper shamrock prints, like this one from Learn ~ Play ~ Imagine, and love how simple but perfectly shaped they are!

5. No surprise that I love hand and foot print crafts! (there are six different links hidden in there :) ) This shamrock footprint craft from Sassy Dealz is so adorable!

6. Also from Sassy Dealz, these wine cork shamrocks remind me a lot of our carrot print shamrocks. Such an easy and sweet decoration!

7. The baking soda fine motor play from Little Bins for Little Hands is awesome! We will definitely be doing this one next year!

8. I love the idea of using straws as a painting tool. These St. Patrick's Day straw painted shamrocks from Mess for Less are great!

Edit: Our attempt at a foot print shamrock this afternoon - not exactly as pictured in the sample picture haha. My little one is quite flat footed, but we had fun ;)

I love Skyler's little footprints across the side of our poster board.

Craft and Activity Roundup for Valentine's Day

Minne-Mama is on Facebook! 'Like' us to stay updated on our fun crafts and activities!
Thank you for stopping by!

I cannot believe that tomorrow is already Valentine's Day! I thought it would be fun to do a roundup post of our Valentine crafts and activities as well as some of my favorites from other blogs. These are the Valentine themed crafts and activities we did this year, for last minute ideas or to keep in mind - or pin - for next year!

Skyler loved painting with yarn which I framed with festive heart doilies to create our sun catchers.

I modified our kiss canvas to make these Valentine's for Skyler's teachers.

We had fun with this sparkly pink peek-a-boo play dough with little hidden hearts!

--------------------------------------------------

I have been filling my Valentine Pinterest board with many wonderful kids crafts and activities to remember for next year - these are some of my favorites!

We will definitely be making flower prints with celery next year (or for Mother's Day!)

I love this flower bouquet from Parentella

And these rose covered hearts from The Chocolate Muffin Tree

Everything from Fun at Home with Kids is amazing: These tissue paper hearts

This sensory bin

These reusable window clings

This Valentine slime from Growing a Jeweled Rose looks so gooey and fun

I want to have these beautiful heart mobiles from Mess For Less hanging all over our house!

Salt dough hearts are definitely on our list for next year. We will probably do a mix of these two.

I love the look of this marbled salt dough (and the fun mixing process to get it) from Two-Daloo

Skyler will be a great age next year to practice threading with these hearts and beads from My Nearest and Dearest!

Simple heart covered straws and heart shaped pasta makes a perfect Valentine fine motor activity. I love this idea from Buggy and Buddy.

At Housing a Forest, they made Valentine stamps out of felt Christmas ornaments! I will definitely be looking at all felt Christmas ornaments next year with stamping crafts in mind.

And finally, this list of Valentine's Day Books and Crafts by No Time For Flash Cards is amazing! As I mentioned in our Fish Eyes post based on the book, I love to link activities to children's literature whenever possible! (Huggy Kissy is one of our favorites right now)

If you haven't, you must check out these great blogs, not only at these crafts and activities, but at all of their creative ideas!
